The J.E.S.U.S. Challenge - Follow Up
Hello!
Happy Friday!! We are so close to Thanksgiving! I wanted to come on here and share how my J.E.S.U.S. Challenge is going so far. For those who do not know, you should read my previous post, “The J.E.S.U.S. Challenge”. To summarize, it is a challenge that I am doing to help me get back into the daily habit of reading The Bible and spending intentional time with Jesus. There are 5 parts in this challenge: Journal, Experience, Study, Understand, and Speak.
I will be honest, it has been hard for me to make time to do this challenge. I have found the weekends are so much easier to make time. During the week day, it’s been a little challenging. My personal challenge for myself was to do it everyday. I am doing it about 2 times during the week and doing it on Saturday and Sunday. I am proud of myself for completing it when I have. I am still going to continue this challenge through the end of November.
During this process, God has been opening up my eyes. I have found that it is easier to do the “Experience” part now than when I started. I really enjoy listening to worship music and listening to God. Sometimes, I don’t really hear anything but just feel more at peace. When I do the “Study” part, some how the theme has been “humility”. A part of this challenge that has been hard for me, is to journal. I have a hard time writing what’s on my mind verses just saying what’s on my mind. I am still going to try journaling and hopefully feel more comfortable with it by the end.
I hope you are having a wonderful week and I look forward to hear from you all on how you are doing!
